Exam Pattern:
The MTS and Havildar (CBIC & CBN) exam will consist of two sections:
- Section 1: Numerical and Mathematical Ability & Reasoning Ability and Problem-Solving
- Section 2: General Awareness & English Language and Comprehension
Section 2 CBT will be based on General Awareness & English Language and Comprehension and will consist of 50 multiple-choice questions. The duration of the descriptive test will be 45 minutes and it will carry a total of 150 marks.
Syllabus for the Exam:
The syllabus for the MTS and Havildar (CBIC & CBN) exam will consist of the following topics:
Reasoning Ability and Problem-Solving: This section will test the candidate's ability to analyze, understand and evaluate logical reasoning and data interpretation.
Numerical and Mathematical Ability: This section will test the candidate's ability to solve mathematical problems and understand numerical concepts.
English Language and Comprehension: This section will test the candidate's understanding of the English language, including grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension.
General Awareness: This section will test the candidate's general knowledge and awareness of current affairs, science, history, and culture.

Relaxations:
- SC/ST candidates will get a 5-year age relaxation
- OBC candidates will get a 3-year age relaxation
Education Qualification:
The minimum education qualification for the MTS and Havildar (CBIC & CBN) exam is the completion of Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board.
PET/PST tests:
Candidates who clear the Computer-Based Test (CBT) will be required to take the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) for CBIC & CBN. The PET will consist of a race and the PST will consist of measurements of height, chest, and weight. These tests are designed to assess the candidate's physical fitness and ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
