Eligibility Criteria

1. Constable (Driver) – Must be 10th passed or equivalent from a recognized board and possess a valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License.
2. Constable (Lab Assistant) – Must be 10th passed with Science stream. Should have a certificate in Lab Assistant Course
3. Constable (Veterinary) – Must be 10th or Matriculation Exam passed with Science as the main subject from a recognized board or university.
4. Constable (Aya) – Must be 10th passed with Science and possess the first aid exam pass certificate from red cross society or should be trained with 1-year experience in the relevant field.
5. Constable (Carpenter, Plumber, Painter and Other) – Must hold Matriculation degree or equivalent passed and two years work experience in respective trade.

 Selection Process

The selection for the SSB Tradesman will be done on the following stages.

1. Stage I will be Physical Standard Test (PST) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Qualifying in Nature
2. Stage II is written Examination: 100 Marks
3. Stage III will be Trade Test.
4. stage IV DME

Physical Standard Test

Height for

General Candidates  -   170 cm (Male)                    157(Female)

Chest - 80-85 CMs unexpanded/Expanded      NA(Female)

Weight - Proportionate to height t and weight

Physical Efficiency Test

1. 5 km to be completed within 24 minutes(Male)
2. 1.6 km to be completed within 8.30 minutes(Female)

Written Exam Test

The candidates who will qualify the PET, PST, and Documentation will be eligible to appear for the written test.

1. The written test will be of 100 Marks for a duration of 2 Hours.
2. There will be 100 Multiple Choice Questions or MCQs.
3. The questions will be based on General Knowledge,Elementary Mathematics, Analytical Aptitude, ability to distinguish patterns and to test the basic knowledge of English/Hindi.
